As of version 6103r1, sending subcontractor requests is faster and requires fewer steps.
Fewer Steps
Previously, you had to leave the calculation module first and then open the Subcontractor Request module separately to create and send the request.
These extra steps are no longer needed when sending a request to a single supplier from within a job. All relevant information from the job is used immediately to generate the request.
In the Subcontractors tab of a job, you now find an additional button that lets you generate a subcontractor request instantly. You can then send the request directly to the supplier by email.
How Does It Work?
- Open the relevant job.
- Go to the Subcontractors tab.
- Select the applicable subcontractor work.
- Click the button to generate the request.
- Check the details and send the request by email.
This keeps you within the same workflow, letting you continue with your job more quickly.
When Do You Still Use the Separate Module?
If you want to send several requests to different suppliers at the same time for the same job, you still use the Subcontractor Request module.
For a single request, you can now work directly from the job.
